Painting Letters On Headstone

aesthetics of dispersion and dispersion 2010

The more varied, and even erratic, the better. The set starts to lose its dominance. The regularities begin to weaken. This weakening of normalcy is part of dynamic capitalism. It is not a simple release. It is the very form of power of capitalism. It is no longer institutionalized disciplinary power that defines everything, is the capitalist power to produce variety, because the market is saturated. If there is variety there is a niche market. Affective strangest trends are good, while profitable. Capitalism starts intensifying or diversifying affection, but only to extract a profit. Literally enhances affection. The logic of capitalist production of surplus value begins to take over the relational field that is also the domain of political ecology, the ethical field of resistance to identity and predictable ways. It's something disturbing and confusing because, in my opinion, there has been some kind of convergence between the dynamic of capitalist power and the dynamics of resistance.
